Per order of the Selectboard on 12 July 2010, the ban on open burning has been removed. Effective immediately, residents can resume burning in the Town of Essex. Essex Dispatch and Essex Police Department staff have been notified. |

Association Print this page Pursuant to the By-Laws and Articles of The Essex Firefighters Association, the “Association” is organized exclusively for one or more of the purposes as specified in the mission statement. Membership is comprised of all members in good standing of the Essex Fire Department. Each year the membership elects new officers and directors. On the first Monday of each month, a meeting of the board, officers and membership is held.
Essex Firefighter’s Association Mission Statement
The mission of the Essex Firefighter’s Association is to provide support services to our fire department and community. Through fundraising efforts and community outreach we pledge to assist the members of the Essex Fire Department in achieving their highest potential and to be a community fire service resource. The Essex Firefighters Association promotes fire prevention and values each firefighter’s service, loyalty, and dedication to the Essex fire service.

The Essex Firefighter's Association is a non-profit organization that accepts donations from any individual that wishes to assist in the advancement of emergency services in Essex Vermont. Your donation will assist the members of the Essex Fire Department in achieving their highest potential without adding additional burden to the taxpayers. We greatly appreciate your suppport.
